Introducing the new STORMSOCK from Bridgedale!

Bridgedale have been designing and making the UK's best loved outdoor socks for over 100 years. Now they have added a waterproof and breathable sock to their range in the form of the new STORMSOCK.

The Stormsock is ideal for any adventurer whether you are walking, running or biking and wanting to give your feet some well needed protection from the wind cold and the wet.

Available in a comprehensive range of weights and heights, this model is the Lightweight Boot Height Stormsock. It is a 100% waterproof sports sock with an un-cushioned fine knit Merino inner. Close fitting and low bulk ideal for activities where maximum breathability and minimal insulation is desired.

FIBRE CONTENT

Outer: 95% Nylon/Polymide, 5% LYCRA/Elastane

Inner: 45% Merino Wool, 45% Polyester, 7.5% Nylon/Polyamide, 2.5% LYCRA/Elastane

Membrane: 100% PU

HYDROTECH MEMBRANE

The Hydrotech PU membrane allows perspiration to pass to the outer layer of the sock while preventing outside water from getting inside. The Hydrophilic nonporous PU membrane transports perspiration to the outside via solid state diffusion meaning water molecules are carried through the physical membrane as it seeks to maintain heat and humidity equilibrium. This method of moisture transfer does not suffer from foreign object contamination such as mud, dirt and salts from sweat unlike the more common microporous membranes commonly found in waterproof clothing.

WINDPROOF - Prevents wind chill, the lowering of body temperature due to the passing flow of cool air across the skin, exacerbated when skin is wet.
COMFORTABLE - The inner is primarily knit with Merino Wool, known for its anti-bacterial, anti-odour and moisture management properties to keep your feet warm, dry and comfortable.
DURABLE - An extremely durable and long lasting outer sock protects the Waterproof Membrane against abrasion from the boot.
PERFORMANCE FIT - Every course has LYCRA running through them giving StormSock stretch, making them easy to pull on and off and they won't fall down, giving a snug and comfortable fit.
STRETCH - A stretch PU membrane together with a matrix lamination process bonds the three layers of StormSock together ensuring they have excellent stretch.
FLAT TOE SEAM - An almost invisible hand-linked toe seam closes the toe boxes creating a comfortable, flat seam that doesn't create excess bulk and cause irritation.
ELASTICATED ARCH - Keeps the sock locked in position. During wear this reduces the possibility of bunching and rucking insidethe shoe or boot which could cause irritation or blisters.
SOCK LINERS - Bridgedale Thermal Liner Sock work with StormSock can significantly increase warmth and insulation and can decrease drying times.
